LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN

—Argentina: In Oct. 2024, Argentina exported $817mn in fuel and energy, accumulating $7,995mn in the first 10 mths of 2024.

—Argentina: In Oct. 2024, avg. Argentina oil production was 743,200 b/d, up 12.3% y-o-y while avg. gas production was 133.1 MMcm/d, up 5.7% y-o-y.

—Ecuador: EP PetroEcuador has reportedly uncovered 664 illegal pipeline connections. 

—Mexico: Pemex general director Victor Rodríguez Padilla said the state-owned co. looks to association deals w/ the private sector.

—Mexico: The CFE claims it will not increase electricity prices in real terms.

—Mexico: Mexico looks to maintain liquids production at around 1.8 MMb/d and focus on the strategic projects Zama and Trion.

—Mexico: The admin. of Pemex will work on vertical integration within the co. during the Claudia Sheinbaum sexenio.

—Venezuela: Chevron Corp., the last remaining US co. in Venezuela, is at serious risk of losing its license to operate in the OPEC country w/ the return of US president-elect Donald Trump to The White House.

—Venezuela: Opposition leader María Corina Machado says there is no doubt that Venezuela’s disputed leader Nicolás Maduro will not cede power on 10 Jan. 2025.

—US: The US recognizing González Urrutia as the elected president of Venezuela will make it hard to US president-elect Donald Trump and to strike any type of deal w/ Venezuela’s president Nicolás Maduro.
