MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Editores Latin Petroleum, 5.Sep.2026, Words: 144) — A diesel tank fire on 5 Sep. 2026, at the Quimitec company, located on Tenayuca Street in the Centro Industrial Tlalnepantla neighborhood, took a toll on 4 persons.
Reportedly, 1 person died and at least 3 others suffered burns over 80% of their bodies owing to the fire, Cuartoscuro reported on 5 Sep. 2026.
According to information from Mexico City Fire Department chief Juan Manuel Pérez Cove, firefighters from 3 stations in the capital worked on the emergency.
3 tanker trucks with a capacity of 40,000 liters of fuel each, belonging to the Creek Fuels company, and a warehouse where bicycles were stored, burned at the scene.
