CARACAS, VENEZUELA (By Piero Stewart, Editores Latin Petroleum, 6.Sep.2026, Words: 150) — Venezuela is producing 1,236,000 barrels per day (b/d), according to Venezuela’s minister of hydrocarbons Paula Henao.

“The efforts of the oil workforce, combined with investment policies and legal certainty, consolidated the sustained growth of crude oil extraction in the country,” Henao said on 6 Sep. 2026 during the “Opening Doors” program on Venevisión.

During the interview, Henao highlighted the production success was due to the directives of Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez.

She also highlighted reforms to the Organic Hydrocarbons Law and alliances with the private sector (CPPH).

Henao also praised the high technical qualifications of the personnel, backed by more than a century of experience in the industry.
