PANAMA CITY, PANAMA (Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 10.Apr.2025, Words: 265) — Ecopetrol and Petrobras International Braspetro B.V – Colombia Branch (PIB-COL) successfully completed the initial formation tests of the Sirius-2 well located in the deep waters offshore Colombia. This marks a major milestone in the project’s evaluation phase.
The companies have now begun preparing the development of the deposit, which will allow Colombia add significant new natural gas supply starting in 2029.
