Mexico sends humanitarian aid to Colombia

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Editores Latin Petroleum, 12.Aug.2026, Words: 148) — 19 members of the Army, Air Force and National Guard departed on 2 strategic transport planes of the Mexican Air Force bound for Pereira, Colombia, transporting 854 food supplies (19.5 tons) of humanitarian aid due to the damage caused by the earthquake recorded on 10 Aug. 2026.

The assistance to Colombia follows on instructions from Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and in accordance with Mexico’s commitment to solidarity, the presidency announced on 12 Aug. 2026.
