HOUSTON, TEXAS (By Pietro D. Pitts, Editores Latin Petroleum, 12.Oct.2026, Words: 103) — Venezuela’s refining capacity exceeds 350,000 barrels per day (b/d).
This ensures the supply of fuel for the productive sector, Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) president Héctor Obregón said on 12 Oct. 2026 during a PDVSA broadcast on national television.
Obregón also explained domestic gasoline consumption rose to around 130,000 b/d compared to 100,000 b/d around the same time frame in 2025.
He said diesel production was between 55,000-60,000 b/d.
