MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 1.Apr.2026, Words: 248) — Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo highlighted positive results related to the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), which she said has handled 18.6 million passengers as of 30 Mar. 2026, and Mexicana de Aviación, which has served nearly 1 million passengers and boasted a 95% satisfaction rate.
“It’s a profitable airport with a growing number of passengers; cargo traffic is also performing very well, and it has significant growth potential,” Sheinbaum said on 1 Apr. 2026 during her morning presser.
