MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 6.Nov.2025, Words: 196) — In a maritime operation led by elements of the Mexican Navy (Semar), acting as the Coast Guard, in coordination with the Ministry of National Defense (Defensa), the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), the National Guard (GN), and the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), 87 packages containing 2.5 tons of suspected cocaine were seized off the coast of Michoacán.
This action was carried out during maritime and aerial patrols to maintain the rule of law at sea, the Mexican government announced on 6 Nov. 2025 in an official statement.
