BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA (By Ana Sanches, Editores Latin Petroleum, 26.Oct.2026, Words: 141) — EP Petroecuador resumed transport of Colombian crude oil through its pipelines in what is seen as a logistical service that strengthens bilateral cooperation between Ecuador and Colombia and generates revenue for the Andean country.

Prior to the restart, the Ecuadorian state oil company implemented a preventative plan with external technical inspections and corrective maintenance, ensuring the structural integrity of the pipeline, the company announced on 26 Oct. 2026 in an official statement.
This has allowed Petroecuador to reactivate in Oct. 2026 the transport of Colombian crude oil through the OSLA and SOTE pipelines.
Annual projections are to generate $16.8mn in revenues via the export of 11,900 barrels.
