MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 2.Sep.2025, Words: 248) — Operaciones Petroleras Soledad S. de R.L. de C.V (OPS), the operator, and state-owned Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) are engaged in a negotiation process regarding a potential migration from the existing oil & gas contract to a mixed contract structure under the new Hydrocarbons Sector Law.
In this context, OPS has formally proposed to Pemex the suspension and/or amendment of the current work program under the oil & gas contract.
