Trump consulted Grok in Dec. 2025 about capturing Maduro

BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA (By Ana Sanches, Editores Latin Petroleum, 1.Oct.2026, Words: 164) — Grok, the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot developed by Elon Musk’s company, was reported consulted in Dec. 2025 by US president Donald Trump about how Venezuelans would react to the potential capture of then-president NicolĂĄs Maduro, Time magazine revealed on 1 Oct. 2026.

Said consultation took place during a private meeting between Trump and Musk at the White House, approximately a 1 month before special US forces captured Maduro in a military operation in Venezuela on 3 Jan. 2026, according to a source present at the meeting cited by the magazine.

Supposedly, Trump spent hours asking Grok questions around various issues related to his presidency and legacy. This, amid the US military campaign against Venezuelan vessels that Washington linked to drug trafficking.
