—Argentina: YPF execs. met in Buenos Aires w/ the Chancellor of Hungry to discuss the Argentina LNG project.

—Ecuador: Ecuador is looking to acquire 195MW from private cos. in Colombia owing to low water levels at the Mazar dam.

—Ecuador: Rationing will be implemented across the entirety of the electric sector from 10-14 Nov. 2024. 

—Guyana: Noble reportedly has 4.8 add’l rig yrs of backlog awarded to Tom Madden, Sam Croft, Don Taylor, and Bob Douglas under the CEA w/ ExxonMobil.

—Mexico: Pemex and the Mexican Petroleum Institute (IMP) inked a collaboration deal to strengthen energy sovereignty and national security as well as pushing technological developments and investigation.

—Mexico: CFE eyes investments of $23.5bn between 2024-2030. 

—Mexico: CFE will be responsible for 54% of Mexico’s electric generation, while private cos. will be responsible for the remaining 46%.

—Suriname: APA Corp. entered the development phase on the large-scale oil GranMorgu project in blk 58 and is eying add’l exploration opportunities.

—Uruguay: APA Corp. is not planning any drilling offshore in 2025.
