(Energy Analytics Institute, 9.Jun.2020) — YPFB Logística SA, a subsidiary of Bolivia’s state oil company Yacimientos Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB), categorically denies malicious intentions related to alleged irregularities in the administrative management of the company and has announced judicial proceedings against officials have begun who participated in irregular practices in past negotiations.

“Irregular hiring of personnel by the head of human resources was detected,” said YPFB Logística General Manager Anderson Menezes.

Various irregular situations from years ago were discovered within YPFB Logística and are being investigated by the corresponding authorities, Menezes said 9 June 2020 in an official statement from YPFB and posted on its website.

“The current administration is proceeding to correct the identified abnormalities, activating anti-corruption control mechanisms, and denouncing and prosecuting those responsible for these events,” Menezes said. “Seeing themselves discovered in their illegalities, these workers are reacting on several fronts, trying to damage the image of the company and its executives.”
