Venezuela inks multi-year deal with General Electric Vernova

CARACAS, VENEZUELA (By Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 15.Jun.2026, Words: 300) — Venezuela signed an action plan with General Electric (GE) Vernova that includes recovery of 1,000 megawatts (MW) in the first 2 years and over 5,000 MW in 4 years.

Venezuela’s interim president Delcy RodrĂ­guez explained this work is necessary for every Venezuelan household and for the country’s industrial base, but “primarily for the life of the nation.”
