—Argentina: The Argentine govt changed the name of the Gasoducto Néstor Kirchner to Gasoducto Perito Moreno.

—Ecuador: Ecuador eyes exporting 7,920,000 bbls between Nov. 2024-Jan. 2015, which will generate revenues of ~$496mn.

—Guyana: ExxonMobil reached a milestone of 500 MMbbls of accumulated crude oil production offshore in the Stabroek blk.

—Guyana: Owing to rising oil rents, the govt is improving access to student loan write-off program.

—Mexico: The govt of President Claudia Sheinbaum officially launched the country’s hydrocarbon sector strategy.

—Mexico: Once operational, the 340 Mb/d Olmeca refinery in Dos Bocas will allow Pemex to reduce exports of its heavy sour Mayan crude to the US Gulf Coast to instead be refined domestically.

—Suriname: Saipem was awarded a new EPCI contract by TotalEnergies, worth $1.9bn, for the subsea development of the GranMorgu project located offshore.

—AFRICA: China’s Belt and Road initiative offers an alternative to Western investments w/ China eagerly investing in African infrastructure w/o imposing political conditions.
