US FDI in Mexico reached $16.871bn in the 1H:26, equivalent to 48.2% of total FDI

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Editores Latin Petroleum, 24.Aug.2026, Words: 615) — Mexico’s Ministry of Economy reported that, at the close of the first half 2026 (1H:26), foreign direct investment (FDI) reached $34.968bn, up 2.1% compared to the amount originally published for the 1H:25 of $34.265bn.

This constitutes the highest level of FDI recorded for a first half of the year since records began.
