MONTERREY, MEXICO (By Isaac Silvestre, Editores Latin Petroleum, 10.Oct.2026, Words: 120) — The final destination of US crude oil exports of nearly 600,000 bbls to Mexico is unclear, according to El Financiero.
The US recorded oil exports to Mexico of 597,027 bbls in Jun., valued at $69.67mn.
State-owned Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) denied importing oil during 2026, the daily reported on 10 Oct. 2026.
US records place the transaction in the New Orleans customs district, but do not identify who bought the crude or where it ended up.
Mexico’s Ministry of Energy (SENER) did not respond to the daily’s request for information.
