MONTERREY, MEXICO (By Isaac Silvestre, Energy Analytics Institute, 20.Jul.2026, Words: 108) — State-owned Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) reported that at 7:35am a leak occurred in a crude oil loading pump at the Olmeca refinery resulting in a minor loss of crude oil with a small fire and black smoke.
The corresponding operating procedures were immediately implemented, and firefighters extinguished the flames. No injuries were reported.
