MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 17.Jul.2025, Words: 368) — The head of Mexico’s Ministry of Energy (SENER) Luz Elena González Escobar and the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) general director Emilia Esther Calleja Alor reported on ongoing efforts to strengthen Mexico’s national electric system grid including actions in 3 main areas: generation, transmission and distribution.
“There are resources, there is technical capacity and there will be no lack of energy,” Luz Elena said on 17 Jul. 2025 during the mañanera or daily media briefing hosted by Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.
