Venezuela natural gas key to optimizing SEN functionality

CARACAS, VENEZUELA (By Piero Stewart, Editores Latin Petroleum, 23.Oct.2026, Words: 109) — Consolidation of natural gas production is fundamental to ensuring the optimal functioning of the National Electric System (SEN) and Venezuelan industry.

This, according to Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez, speaking on 23 Oct. 2026 in a broadcast on Venezuelan state television.

Rodríguez emphasized strengthening the petrochemical sector is emerging as the OPEC country’s third largest source of foreign exchange, boosting social development, economic growth, and the creation of productive jobs.
