ATLANTA, GEORGIA (By Chad Archey, Energy Analytics Institute, 28.Jul.2026, Words: 128) — Ecuadorian prosecutor Alexandra Bravo was fatally shot along with her sister by a hitman on a motorcycle last month in the city of Manta.
Drop Site News reported that at the time of her killing, she was investigating US strikes on three Ecuadorian boats in which 36 passengers survived.
Survivors claimed they had been abducted and then tortured by American gunmen in US military uniforms aboard a US-flagged patrol ship, Democracy Now! reported on 28 Jul. 2026.
Meanwhile, The Washington Post reported an assessment by the Drug Enforcement Administration found that the strikes have failed to affect the supply or price of cocaine in the US.
