Venezuelan government activates emergency protocols after earthquakes 

CARACAS, VENEZUELA (By Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 24.Jun.2026, Words: 300) — The Venezuelan government immediately activated emergency, rescue and damage assessment protocols after 2 strong earthquakes rocked the country.

The 2 earthquakes had estimated magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5 degrees, respectively, according to Diosdado Cabello, speaking on Venezuelan state television. 

The affects were strongly felt in Trujillo, Yaracuy, Carabobo, Aragua, Miranda, La Guaira and Caracas.
