PANAMA CITY, PANAMA (By Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 9.Sep.2025, Words: 329) — Venezuela’s president Nicolás Maduro Moros said the US imperialism was lying to justify a change of government in Venezuela, with the ultimate goal of seizing the OPEC country’s natural resources, including its crude oil, natural gas, and gold, among other minerals.
“Everything they say is a lie. And it’s a totally unjustified, unacceptable escalation of war for a regime change (…) for a government simply enslaved to the interests of the US oligarchy,” Maduro said on 9 Sep. 2025 during the 90th edition of the program “Con Maduro Más.”
