— An election poll from Genial/Quaest published on 22 Mar. 2022 shows former Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva leading by 39% vs actual President Jair Bolsonaro. However, Lula’s lead is down from 45% on 9 Mar. vs 23% for Bolsonaro.
Venezuela
— “The [US] sanctions in terms of excessive costs and discounts represent around 25% of the price of crude oil,” Venezuela’s Vice President Delcy Rodríguez said during the 2022 presentation of the “Memoria y Cuenta” to the National Assembly. “That is to say that $1 in every $4 must be used to cover otherwise unnecessary payments without the presence of the restrictions.”
