Shell Signs First Natural-Gas Supply Contract In Brazil

(Wall Street Journal, 25.Aug.2021) — Royal Dutch Shell PLC said Wednesday that it has signed a natural-gas sales contract with Companhia Pernambucana de Gas, its first supply deal with a Brazilian estate distributor.

The Anglo-Dutch energy giant said the two-year agreement is to supply 750,0000 cubic meters a day from January 2022, and 1 million in 2023.

Shell said the gas will be sourced from its local production and from its global liquefied-natural-gas portfolio.
