Staatsolie’s Jagesar Emphasizes Need for National Model

(Energy Analytics Institute, 17.Jan.2024) — Staatsolie managing director Annand Jagesar emphasized the importance of developing a national model for regulation, exploration and development.

Jagesar’s comments were made on 17 Jan. 2024, according to a post by the AAPG SPE, and at the start of a two-day multidisciplinary program titled: “Technical Symposium, Maturing Sustainable Solutions to Explore, Develop and Produce Oil and Gas across the Guyana Suriname Basin.”

The opening session — hosted by general co-chairs Patrick Brunings, Staatsolie/SPE, and Liz Lee, from ExxonMobil — provided an overview of AAPG and SPE events in Suriname and a preview of the program.

During the session, AAPG Latin America and Caribbean Region delegate Clyde Griffith recognized the AAPG and other professional societies for bringing people, students and professionals together.
