(Energy Analytics Institute, 9.Nov.2020) — Venezuela’s state oil company Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) dispatched 60 vehicles to the Paraguaná Refining Center (CRP by its Spanish acronym), located in the state of Falcón.

The fleet is intended to strengthen CRP’s operations at both the 645,000 barrel per day capacity Amuay and 310,000 barrel per day capacity Cardón refinery, which comprise the complex.

“The fleet will also increase the mobility capacity and reinforce the security of the physical facilities of the CRP,” state oil giant PDVSA announced 9 November 2020 in an official statement, citing Venezuela’s oil minister Tareck El Aissami.

Increased security at the complex was necessary due to the recent “terrorist attacks” that caused physical structural damage, El Aissami said.
