(Energy Analytics Institute, Ian Silverman, 17.Dec.2019) — YPFB President Herland Javier Soliz Montenegro announced plans to provide an update on the status of company’s entire production chain within three months.
In an official statement 17 Dec. from YPFB, Soliz said the state oil company continues to operation and guarantee mainly the supply of fuels in the domestic and external markets.
Soliz clarified that his recent appointment at YPFB had nothing to do with the statements of his predecessor, José Luis Rivero, who had announced that the state oil company was in a state of bankruptcy.
Soliz said his priorities include guaranteeing the normal supply of natural gas in the Bolivian domestic market, conducing negotiations to consolidate gas exports to Brazil and Argentina, open new markets for Bolivian fuels and present a diagnosis of YPFB’s situation which he said “would no longer be based on fantasies as under the previous government.”
“If the numbers are red, red numbers will be shown,” Soliz said.
