BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA (By Ana Sanches, Editores Latin Petroleum, 30.Sep.2026, Words: 137) — ECOPETROL is advancing its engagement with Venezuela’s oil industry by participating in an international congress in Caracas, where it seeks to identify and consolidate business opportunities.
“ECOPETROL’s participation in this event (…) reflects the company’s interest in identifying opportunities that will contribute to the revitalization of its hydrocarbon business, exchanging experiences, and analyzing growth prospects for the region’s energy sector,” El Carabobeño reported on 30 Sep. 2026, citing a statement from Colombia’s state-owned oil company.
ECOPETROL’s president, Joaquín Gutiérrez Caballero, who took office on 24 Sep. 2026 after a period of several leadership changes, announced the beginning of a new phase of management focused on the company’s recovery.
