Petrobras inks 8 PSCs for blocks offshore Côte d’Ivoire

BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA (By Steve Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 17.Sep.2026, Words: 135) — PETROBRAS’ wholly-owned subsidiary Petrobras Netherlands B.V. (PNBV) signed production sharing contracts (PSCs) for 8 offshore exploration blocks located in the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire.

The contracts secure Petrobras’ participation in high-potential exploration areas along the African equatorial margin.

The PSCs were signed with the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire and PETROCI Holding, PETROBRAS announced on 17 Sep. 2026 in an official statement. 

The PSCs cover the offshore blocks CI-513, CI-600, CI-601, CI-602, CI-603, CI-605, CI-701 and CI-702. Petrobras, through PNBV, will hold a 90% interest in the blocks as operator, while PETROCI Holding will hold the remaining 10% interest.
