MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 22.Oct.2025, Words: 245) — Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) is continuing intensive oil cleanup, containment, and environmental remediation efforts in the area of the Pantepec river, in the municipality of Álamo Temapache, Veracruz, involving specialized personnel and high-capacity equipment.
Over 80 land and river units are operating in the field, including a FIFI II class emergency response vessel and 5 speedboats, which are deployed for tracking, containment, and safe access to critical areas, Pemex announced on 22 Oct. 2025 in an official statement.
