This, since the federal executive branch does not promote or endorse laws or acts contrary to the Constitution.
During her morning press conference, Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo asked the general coordinator of politics and government Arturo Zaldívar Lelo de Larrea to explain his administration’s position: Article 14 of the Constitution, which establishes that laws should not be retroactive, must be respected.
