US sets bounty at $50mn for information leading to arrest and/or conviction of Nicolás Maduro

BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA (BY Steve Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 7.Aug.2025, Words: 261) — The Department of State and the Department of Justice are announcing a reward offer increase of up to $50mn under the Narcotics Rewards Program (NRP) for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Nicolás Maduro for violating US narcotics laws.

“The State Department and The Justice Department are increasing the reward for the arrest of dictator Nicolas Maduro to $50 million for violating U.S. narcotics laws,” US secretary of state Marco Rubio announced on 7 Aug. 2025 in a post on X.
