Venezuela’s Maduro says investment of up to $52bn procured from BRICS, others

CARACAS, VENEZUELA (Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 27.Dec.2024) — Venezuela’s president Nicolás Maduro assured that his Caribbean country has procured investments of up to $52bn over 2 years. The supposed investment will come from BRICS member countries — Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa — as well as other countries and destined for all sectors of the Venezuelan economy.

“We welcome investors from the US,” Maduro added 27 Dec. 2024 during a television broadcast on state channel Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
