CARACAS, VENEZUELA (By Piero Stewart, Editores LatinPetroleum, 8.Oct.2026, Words: 260) — Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez reported on the progress of judicial reforms, parliamentary dialogue, and a legislative package aimed at democratic coexistence and streamlining the state, during her address at the 82nd annual assembly of Fedecámaras.

During her discourse on 8 Oct. 2026, she highlighted the importance of the amnesty law, which seeks to leave behind the confrontation and episodes of violence in the country, such as those of 2014, 2017, and 2024.
She also emphasized that violence is not the solution to Venezuela’s political problems, Rodríguez revealed on 8 Oct. 2026 during in a broadcast on national television.
The interim head of state also mentioned that negotiations between different groups in the National Assembly are ongoing. She said the goal is a dialogue that will allow for reaching the necessary agreements to move toward democratic coexistence with guarantees for all.
She also addressed the restructuring of the justice system following the reform of the Supreme Court of Justice Law.
To this end, she emphasized this reform must improve justice for all and not stigmatize the poor or make access to justice contingent on payments.
Finally, Rodríguez spoke about the law on administrative procedures and the efforts to simplify administrative processes.
She noted that for procedures to be simpler and faster, the state must streamline processes rather than complicate them, causing people to waste time.
