Sheinbaum says former PEMEX director will not have impunity

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 30.Jun.2026, Words: 122) — Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo said former PEMEX general director Víctor Rodríguez will not be protected from being prosecuted for assaulting his wife. 

According to reports in Reforma on 30 Jun. 2026, the president explained Rodríguez had not yet assumed the position of director of the National Institute of Electricity and Clean Energy (INEEL) and that Alejandro Salcido would remain in the post.
