MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 15.Apr.2026, Words: 913) — As part of the strategy to strengthen energy sovereignty, Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo presented the committee of scientists and specialists who will analyze the possible sustainable exploitation of natural gas reserves in unconventional deposits to reduce imports of this resource.
The first recommendation from this interdisciplinary group will be issued in 2 months, according to Sheinbaum.
