Mexico advances with actions to restore electric service after storms

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 24.Oct.2025, Words: 197) — The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT) has restored access to 202 out of a total of 288 localities, with the clearance of 360 state network roads and feeder roads in Veracruz, Puebla, Hidalgo, Querétaro, and San Luis Potosí. 

As of 23 Oct. 2025, 13 days after the meteorological phenomenon, the Ministry of Welfare has delivered 36,358 aid packages of 20,000 pesos, as well as 2 food vouchers and 1 for household goods, to people affected by the extraordinary rains in Veracruz, Puebla, Querétaro, and San Luis Potosí.
