MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 7.Aug.2025) — Mexico’s president Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo highlighted the reduction in inflation in the country, which reached 3.51% in Jul. 2025, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).

“It’s a very significant decrease, considering that May had the highest rate at 4.42%,” according to Sheinbaum, who said on 7 Aug. 2025 during her mañanera or daily media briefing that it declined in Jun. to reach 4.32%.
