OPEC’s Mohammad Barkindo Visits Petrocedeño Upgrader

(Energy Analytics Institute, 11.May.2022) — Petróleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) President Asdrúbal Chávez, and the board of directors of the company received the Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) Mohammad Barkindo during a “fruitful” meeting at the Petrocedeño upgrader located within the José Antonio Anzoátegui Industrial Complex (CIJAA) in Anzoátegui state in eastern Venezuela.

During the work meeting PDVSA authorities presented the prospects for the Venezuelan and global petroleum markets as well as medium- and long-term investment opportunities for the energy, gas, refining and related services sectors in Venezuela, oil giant PDVSA announced 11 May 2022 in an official statement.

The meeting was attended by Nigeria’s Ambassador Olorundare Phillip Awoniyi and the Deputy Hydrocarbons Minister Erick Pérez, among other high officials from the oil industry.
