(Energy Analytics Institute, Aaron Simonsky, 25.Mar.2020) — YPF President Guillermo Nielsen signed an agreement with the representatives from Argentina’s ministries of Transportation, Security, Health, Interior and Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries; the National Commission for Transport Regulation; and the National Federation of Truck Workers, among other entities of the sector, to facilitate activities for the country’s truckers who transport essential goods for consumption by the population within the framework of social isolation measures implemented by Argentina’s national government.

Per the deal, the state oil giant YPF will make its network of service stations distributed across the South American country available so that truckers can have safe and hygienic supply points where they can stop to rest during their trips, the company announced 25 March 2020 in an official statement.

Truckers will also be able to load fuel and change lubricants, and have access to toilets and/or showers, and parking lots at services stations where these services are available, the company said.

In addition, initially at 260 service stations across the country, the truckers will be able to acquire groceries and drinks at promotional prices.
