(Energy Analytics Institute, Aaron Simonsky, 21.Nov.2018) — The Government of the Province of Neuquén has temporarily suspended YPF’s environmental license at two pads in Bandurria.

The precautionary measure affects pads 8 and 9, where an hydrocarbon spill occurred on October 19, 2018, YPF announced in an official statement sent via email. The measure doesn’t prevent or stop development activities at other pads, the company said.

Since the incident last month, YPF executives have gathered each Tuesday with officials and representatives from other entities in the area regarding clean up efforts.

YPF was notified of the decision of the Neuquén government on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 and immediately complied with the measure, the company said.
