(Energy Analytics Institute, Ian Silverman, 10.Oct.2019) — Repsol’s President Antonio Brufau said during a visit to Bolivia that natural gas is the only transitional energy.
“All the countries that are lucky enough to have natural gas resources such as those available in Bolivia have a guaranteed part of the future,” Bolivia’s Hydrocarbon Ministry reported in an official statement, citing comments from the head of the Spanish oil giant.
“Yes, I can guarantee that gas will be the energy or support for the rest of the renewable energies from solar to wind or a basic primary energy to produce electricity,” he said. “Within 100 years, oil will exist but not in the amounts that exist now.”
