MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Editores Latin Petroleum, 7.Oct.2026, Words: 119) — The Mexican Navy (SEMAR) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) reported deployment of military personnel as part of the “mirror operations” between Mexico and the US to reinforce border and maritime security.
On the Mexican side of the border, the Navy is conducting operations with 159 naval personnel, 11 vehicles, and 2 drones within the jurisdiction of the Matamoros naval sector, SRE said on 7 Oct. 2026 in an official statment .
The Mexican agencies stated the cooperation respects the sovereignty and powers of each country.
