BOGOTÁ, COLOMBIA (By Ana Sanches, Editores Latin Petroleum, 30.Sep.2026, Words: 103) — Glencore, Peabody Energy, and the investment firm Heeney Capital are said to be evaluating potential deals related to coal production in Venezuela, Bloomberg reported.
According to people familiar with the discussions cited by the New York City-based news agency, Glencore and Peabody are working together on a possible bid for coal assets located in Zulia state.
Heeney is supposedly exploring a separate deal with the US mining company Drummond.
