MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Energy Analytics Institute, 28.Jul.2025, Words: 125) — Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) reported its financial and operating results for the second-quarter 2025 (2Q:25). The data reflects the positive impact of a strategy focused on the efficient use of resources and institutional strengthening.
During the quarter, liquid hydrocarbon production, including that of partners, averaged 1.63 million barrels per day (MMb/d), remaining stable for the year. In the 1Q:25, production averaged 1.61 MMb/d.
Natural gas production even grew by 2.6% compared to the previous quarter, reaching 3.592 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d), Pemex announced on 28 Jul. 2025 in its official 2Q:25 financial press release.
