MEXICO CITY, MEXICO (By Fidencio Casillas, Editores Latin Petroleum, 3.Nov.2026, Words: 129) — Talos Energy commenced a 3D seismic campaign offshore Honduras in Oct, 2026, initially targeting a portion of a large deepwater acreage position.

This, after Talos executed definitive agreements in the third quarter 2026 (3Q:26) to acquire an 80% operated working interest in an offshore Honduras block spanning more than 4 million gross acres, the company announced on 3 Nov. 2026 in an official statement.Â
Talos has closed on a 45% working interest and assumed operatorship, with the acquisition of the remaining 35% working interest subject to approval by Honduras’s SecretarĂa de EnergĂa (SEN).
