PANAMA CITY, PANAMA (By Piero Stewart, Energy Analytics Institute, 20.Jul.2025, Words: 257) — Guyana’s gas-to-energy (GtE) project that sources natural gas from the offshore Liza Destiny and Unity floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) units, could potentially be expanded, according to ExxonMobil Guyana Limited (EMGL).
The GtE project, originally planned to source 50 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) from the offshore Stabroek block for Guyana’s first power plant, could be expanded to support a second power plant as part of the government’s GtE Phase II.
