HOUSTON, TEXAS (Ofelia Paredes, Energy Analytics Institute, 25.Jun.2025, Words: 305) — Energy Transfer LNG Export, LLC, a subsidiary of Dallas-based Energy Transfer LP, signed a sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Chevron U.S.A. Inc. for additional liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply from its Lake Charles LNG export facility.
The 20-year agreement is for 1 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). It increases Chevron’s total contracted volume from Energy Transfer LNG to 3 MTPA, following the initial 2 MTPA agreement signed in Dec. 2024.
