Venezuela eyes raising $12bn in financing over next 2 years

HOUSTON, TEXAS  (By Pietro D. Pitts, Editores Latin Petroleum, 9.Oct.2026, Words: 103) — Venezuela could raise an estimated $12bn in financing over the next 2 years with its return to the multilateral financial system.

These would include resuming relations with institutions such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, Venezuela’s presidency announced on 9 Oct. 2026 in an official statement. 

Said financing mechanisms would support companies of different sizes and entrepreneurs, and promote productive recovery and comprehensive development.
